Yeah! It is 24″ and it takes more than 2/3 space on our desk!! Stupid Ti likes it too. Weird J of course likes it! Alright, weird J said it is not 2/3, horizontly it takes 2/3 but the depth is very slim.
At any rate, we love our new iMac! The wireless keyboard is extremely cute.

They are an international ballroom dance franchise studio. Their dictionary is quite nice to know different dances.

America’s Ballroom Challenge February 9, 2006

Amercia’s Ballroom Challenge is a great ballroom dance competition in USA. It features four major styles of competitive ballroom dancing: America Smooth, America Rhythm, International Standard, and International Latin. Six top finale dancers in each category competed to enter the “finals” – only the top three couples can perform a solo showdance. Each couple vyes to be named champion of their dance style and four champions of each style will compete across dance styles for “America’s Best Ballroom Dance Couples.”

International Standard and American Smooth both feature the “traveling dances,” in which the couples travel counterwise around the floor (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese waltz, and with quickstep only for International Standard). The International Latin and American Rhythm, with two exceptions, are “spot dances.” International Latin includes Cha-cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso doble, Jive, while Amercian Rhythm has Cha-cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, and Mambo.Onthefringe

To know more about each finalist, http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/ballroomchallenge/competition-finalists.html

It was so pretty and exciting! Great competition! Now I know why mom likes dancing competition so much. Although I still feel that sometimes it is really hard to say how the judges come up with the results, the show dance is definitely entertaining and worth watching.

I love to see those creative costumes and choreography from each couple. They are truely amazing and innovative. Love them! Now I want to dance too!

It is also fun to see the costume and I saw this http://dreamgowns.dancepages.info/ website that sells costume design.

Certification Resource Materials

PMP Resource Pack
We suggest, but not require, that candidates begin exam preparation by purchasing the PMP Resource Pack available through the PMI bookstore. These publications provide more information on how the exam was developed, project management knowledge domains, and PMP application requirements.

PMI Materials:
·1 PMBOK® Guide – 2000 Edition
·2 PMP Role Delineation Study
·3 PMP Certification Handbook (Adobe PDF 371KB) (It is printed out in the folder)
·4 Code of Professional Conduct (Adobe PDF 34KB)

Other Suggested Readings:
These materials were compiled by conducting a poll from a small sample of candidates who took the exam in 2003. It contains materials selected by this group and it does not imply endorsement by PMI or that these materials will be helpful in your study plan.
·1 Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling (9th edition) by Harold Kerzner (Borders: San Jose- Santana Row; Palo Alto; SF)
·2 PMP Exam Practice Test and Study Guide (4th edition) by J. LeRoy Ward
·3 PMP Exam Prep (3rd edition) by Rita Mulcahy

The PMP exam is not as hard as you think; yes it is high pressure, time wise. It has primarily 2 types of questions. 1 is memory recall. 2. Is testing your experience, that is to say how do you respond to a given situation, what is your rational or judgment? And every question is tied directly or indirectly to the PMBOOK. Read it Twice. I used The PMBOOK with a book written in narrative style chapter for chapter against the PMBOOK. It’s called “Information Technology Project Management” by Kathy Schwalbe. It has some simple IT examples that most business people can understand after all Project Management is irrelevant to industry. And The Project Manager (person) is not. Also Parts of the book “Project Management: The Managerial Process” by Clifford F. Gray. For Scope, Time, Cost, and Risk. The cheapest and “good” situational questioner (with explanations and references to the PMBOOK) and memory jogger (two products) come from ESI international, do a search on the web for company info; the author is J. Leroy Ward. These two books again are mapped directly to the PMBOOK. Use your experience, Intuition and smarts to answer the questions. Memories all economic formulas.

🙂 It is really fun to learn piano. Although I am still slow in reading the music from the staff, I am trying hard to play it.

Treble Clef, Bass Clef, Time Signatures (whole, half, quarter, eighth, sixteenth note), measure

4/4 four quarter notes per measure
6/8 six eighth notes per measure
# (sharp) play the note 1/2 step up
b (flat) play the note 1/2 step down

And also I found some websites that I can download the piano staff for popular/classical music: http://www.qinweb.net/

It is fun to use Overture as well.

Professional Makeup Artist? January 18, 2006

I was chatting with my coworker who will get married soon. Then she showed me the websites of two professional makeup artisits. And I was occupied by the idea of learning the techniques and being able to do the “magic.”

http://www.facesbytaylor.com/
http://www.professionalmakeupartistry.com/pages/1/index.htm

Of course then I started researching some of the training programs for professional makeup artisits. Wow, it costs an arm and a leg! One of the program at SF http://www.sanfranciscoinstitute.com/sfiec/index.cfm cost $20k! Can’t believe it! Well, the one in LA http://mkcbeautyacademy.com/now seems to be more reasonable $6k. 😛 The book on fabjob http://www.fabjob.com/makeupartist.asp is most reasonable then.

Repeat *
